MZE is an addicted home producer forgetting everything around when
doing his beats and basses.
This up&coming artist took his first steps in producing electronic music
back in 1998 after leaving a noise- industrial- crossover-band where he
played bass. Influenced by drum&bass-parties in the Kantine (Erfurt) he
focused more and more on producing this kind of music. Soon he joined the
crew of Kantine-resident phybsz, named Platin (
pltn.org).
Since 2001 when MZE moved from Thuringia to Leipzig his sound changed and

improved a lot as a result of his deeper thoughts on drum&bass and new
musical influences caused by people/acquaintances like LXC (
alphacut)
and Con.struct (
constructmusic.de /
Outsider Rec. UK).
So "Stick em up"; (a-side of ACR002) which was
his first release on vinyl in 2003 and is a loaded rave-jungle-anthem arose
from the spontanious idea of LXC to collaborate with MZE.
In spring 2005 MZE finally started his live-appearance with gigs in
Bastard (Berlin), Triebwerk (Erfurt), Giesserstrasse 16 (Leipzig), Distillery
(Leipzig) and kicks ass
with the progressive tune "waterbwoy" on one of his alphacut
releases (ACR004).
We have to expect more live- appearance and fresh innovative new stuff from
this guy in the next time.

In 2006 MZE became a member of the massive
Breakbeat Journeys crew alongside, con.struct, Sketch and MC Schnemann. They formed one of the rare brands for break- and drumfunk-oriented drum and bass partys in (east)germany. It's different but delicious. So if you can, don't miss the Breakbeat Journeys at Distillery club in Leipzig.

MZE's latest 12inch vinyl release on alphacut dropped in the shops in spring 2007. The a-side-floor-rocker
"BLUT" may shock you with its heavyweight bassline, sick hooverscience and mercyless tight drumming. But don't be scared. Even Mister DnB Minister DJ Bailey played
this track in his BBC Radio OneExtra show and sets it as "street music - goin on dark"... A must-have-item!
